Seven of Strutt & Parker’s agents make Spear’s 500 Index 2023

Q1 2023

The annual Spear’s 500 index is the ‘Who’s Who’ of the ultra-high net worth world: the black book of advisors, from wealth management to property specialists. In 2023, seven of Strutt & Parker’s agents have been included in the latest index.

Mark McAndrew (Senior Director, National Estates & Farms Agency) is included within Spear’s Country Specialist in their Top Flight category. Mark has been with Strutt & Parker for 34 years and works across the sale and acquisition of estates and farms across the UK, both publically and, in many cases, very privately. Matthew Sudlow (Senior Director, head of Estates & Farms Agency) is also included as a recommended Country Specialist. Matthew, who joined Strutt & Parker in 2007, leads a team of brokers all of whom specialise in high-value property across England, Scotland and Wales. In the past year he has been advising a number of private and institutional clients acquiring significant land holdings with combined value of over £110 million.

For the first time, Oliver Custance Baker (Director, head of the National Country House Department) is included in the Spear’s 2023 index as a recommended Country/Rural agent. Oliver, who started his career at Strutt & Parker after university over a decade ago, first took a work experience placement at the firm before being offered a full-time job. Based in Chelsea, his team works with some of the best country houses across the country, from £2,500,000 up to the tens of millions. His recent sales include the historic former home of Samuel Taylor Coleridge in Devon.

Three of our London agents all feature as a recommended Property Agent.

  • Lulu Egerton (Senior Director, Sloane Street) is recognised in this category for another year. With over 35 years in the property world, Lulu understands the contextual nuances of buying and selling in prime central London, and has built a reputation upon exceptional referrals. For Lulu communication is key, “everybody knows they can contact me at any time” she says.
  • James Gow (Senior Director, Kensington) is known for his work for high net worth families, an array of family offices and other organisations. Scouting out the best properties across W8 is what he relishes most in his role heading up Strutt & Parker’s Kensington office.
  • Miles Meacock (Senior Director, Notting Hill) is celebrated for his work in helping wealthy families and individuals with both the search and purchase of their dream homes, in addition to portfolio building. Miles opened the firm’s Notting Hill office in 2011, having previously launched Lane Fox’s Kensington office in 1999, which later merged with Strutt & Parker in 2007.

Keir Waddell (Director, London New Homes) is, for a second year, pegged as a Rising Star in the 2023 index and reported, just one year into his role heading up the London New Homes sales team, one of the best January’s on record. With clientele spanning the globe – from the UK, US and Asia – Keir works closely with UHNWIs, law firms and family offices. His current book of listings includes the likes of The OWO residences by Raffles, Triptych Bankside, and The Peninsula.
