Strutt & Parker has announced the acquisition of residential estate agent Roberts Newby.
Roberts Newby has two Buckinghamshire based offices in Gerrards Cross and Chalfont St Giles with 22 staff, all of whom will transfer to Strutt & Parker’s national estate agency.
Roberts Newby is led by Simon Roberts, who will become an equity partner at Strutt & Parker, and is the leading estate agent in the area with a track record extending to 25 years. It operates both a sales and lettings platform for high value properties and has a new homes department specialising in the sale of new developments in the popular commuter towns.
From September 2015 the Gerrards Cross and Chalfont St Giles offices will be jointly branded as the two businesses come together. Strutt & Parker has 38 residential estate agency teams throughout the UK and this acquisition represents their expansion into Buckinghamshire.
Andy Martin, Senior Partner at Strutt & Parker said: “The acquisition of Roberts Newby represents a key part of our expansion strategy and will provide us with an expert team of agents who have an unrivalled understanding of South Buckinghamshire as the established number one agent in the region. We identified Roberts Newby as a business which shares our values and is committed to delivering the best service for buyers, sellers, tenants and landlords.”
Simon Roberts, Managing Director at Roberts Newby said: “We see joining Strutt & Parker as a fantastic opportunity that will combine our local expertise with their national and international coverage. My team has worked incredibly hard to establish Roberts Newby as a market leading estate agent locally and coming together with Strutt & Parker will compliment two established and highly thought of businesses, forging a very strong service proposition to our clients going forward.”
