Q3 2015

Aberdeen Asset Management has secured one of the largest lettings in the Thames Valley this year at Ascot House, a 52,000 sq ft self-contained office building at Maidenhead Office Park, to Acenden.

Aberdeen Asset Management has secured one of the largest lettings in the Thames Valley this year at Ascot House, a 52,000 sq ft self-contained office building at Maidenhead Office Park, to Acenden.

The mortgage services provider has agreed a rent equating to £22.00 per sq ft for the space, which they will occupy on an 11 year lease.

As part of their strategy for the building, Aberdeen has taken a surrender of a lease held by the previous tenant, Dell Software, who occupied 21,000 sq ft at the building are now undertaking a comprehensive refurbishment ready for Acenden’s occupation later in the year.

Simon Banks, senior asset manager at Aberdeen Asset Management said: “The ability to provide high quality space with excellent parking at a modern business park is why Maidenhead Office Park continues to attract occupiers.  We are delighted to have created the perfect solution for Acenden, who were seeking a self-contained office building within an established commercial hub with excellent transport links.”

Jeremy Metcalfe of the Strutt & Parker national markets office agency team added: “After a slow 2014, the Acenden letting at Ascot House and Maersk taking 40,000 sq ft at Point highlight Maidenhead’s position as a key Western Corridor office location and its ability to attract high quality corporate occupiers.”

Strutt & Parker and Parkinson Brown represented Aberdeen Asset Management; BNP Paribas Real Estate acted on behalf of Acenden.
