Strutt & Parker continues expansion with the launch of new South Kensington office

Q2 2016

Strutt & Parker has announced it will be opening a new residential estate agency office in South Kensington on 1 June 2016, continuing its organic expansion in Prime Central London.

The new office is cutting edge in design and situated in a prominent position on the Old Brompton Road, virtually opposite the South Kensington saleroom of Christie’s world-renowned auction house, a fitting location given Strutt & Parker is Christie’s International Real Estate’s exclusive affiliate in the UK.

Strutt & Parker South Kensington will cover the high volume international market in SW7, in both sales and lettings, and will be headed up by James Boulton-Lea, who moves from Strutt & Parker’s nearby Chelsea SW10 office.

With over 20 years of experience inthe South Kensington sales market between them, James Boulton-Lea will be joined in sales by Natasha Whalley (previously Faron Sutaria South Kensington) and Alice Roper (previously Foxtons South Kensington). Sabaya Verger, a native French speaker originally from Paris, will join as Lettings Negotiator, again from the nearby Chelsea SW10 office.

Charlie Willis was appointed as Head of London Residential at Strutt & Parker in May last year to spearhead the growth of Strutt & Parker’s London business. He said: “Launching an office in South Kensington is a natural progression for us. Having worked the patch in the past, I know the area well - and S&P has historically always had a high number of sales and lettings taking place in the South Kensington area from our neighbouring offices in Chelsea, Kensington and Knightsbridge. This proves our further commitment to the residents of the Royal Borough.”

“We felt that given the high turnover of transactions in this historically transient but now increasingly vibrant area, we needed to provide an office in SW7 for the convenience of our clients. We are hugely excited to be opening in this dynamic and culturally-rich part of London and capitalising on the high demand for property in the area, from both domestic UK buyers and tenants and continental Europeans looking to relocate here. We look forward to growing our market share in this fast-moving market.”

James Boulton-Lea, Head of Strutt & Parker South Kensington, said: “As the sole UK affiliate of Christie’s International Real Estate, we are thrilled to be opening in such a fantastic location virtually opposite the Christie’s auction house saleroom, a thriving hub of activity which attracts art lovers from all over the world. At Strutt & Parker, we understand that the worlds of fine art and luxury homes are connected – we aim to do things differently in South Kensington by offering an unparalleled level of highly personalised service to our clients – and bringing the art and property worlds even closer together by working seamlessly with the Christie’s team.”

Strutt & Parker is currently marketing several outstanding properties in South Kensington including an imaginatively renovated three-bedroom mews house on Cornwall Mews West for £3.75m, a stunning maisonette on the prestigious Onslow Square for £4.95m and an apartment on Cornwall Gardens with west-facing roof terrace with garden views for £3.65m.

In 2015, Strutt & Parker added five further new offices to their agency network following the acquisition of Roberts Newby in Buckinghamshire and Edwards & Elliot in Surrey and Berkshire.
