A splendid Grade II* Listed Jacobean house with excellent outbuildings, paddocks and country views

The Old Hall is a particularly fine farmhouse dating from about 1600 consisting of 3 bays with timber framing and rendered elevations under a pantile roof. Further brick wings with vitrified headers and fine curved gables were added in the in 1700s again under pantile roofs. The house is Grade II* Listed as being of architectural and historical importance and is mentioned in Sir Nikolus Pevsner’s authoritative guide “The Buildings of England”. The delightful and well-proportioned accommodation is filled with the character of the period with exposed timber framing, heavily beamed ceilings and plank doors. Of particular note is the ovolo and ogee moulded stone fireplace in the drawing room and again on the first floor landing. Complementing the original house is an excellent 20th Century open-plan kitchen/breakfast room with large windows allowing in masses of light. This interlinks to a converted outbuilding incorporating a large utility room, double bedroom and a separate shower room.

This property has 8.15 acres of land.
