Secluded and spacious
Little Foxes is a light and very well-proportioned detached house, situated within the heart of the village and with far reaching views. Leading off from the entrance hall is a spacious dining room which has direct access onto the front garden. The light, double aspect sitting room has an open fire place and French doors which lead out onto the rear garden and terrace. The kitchen/breakfast/family room is large enough to allow ample space for a dining table and sofa. Upstairs, the good sized principal bedroom, with its countryside views, has an en suite bathroom and walk-in wardrobe. There are three further bedrooms, a family bathroom as well as a wide landing, making an ideal study or play area. The spacious and versatile accommodation Little Foxes offers, aided by its secluded and rural location, makes for an ideal home.
Outside
The enclosed west facing rear garden is mainly laid to lawn, flanked by wonderfully mature borders, including an established wisteria and ceanothus, as well as a paved terrace, ideal for outdoor entertaining. The front garden has an attractive mature flower bed with pergola, an additional paved terrace and stunning views across the neighbouring field. There is parking for three cars as well as an integral garage.
Situation
Marston Meysey, a pretty and popular village with a friendly community, lies within open countryside close to the Wiltshire/Gloucestershire border. It benefits from a church, village hall as well as a popular pub, The Old Spotted Cow. The local towns of Fairford and Cricklade offer a good range of everyday services with a wider choice in the ancient Roman town of Cirencester (including Waitrose, Tesco, Aldi and Lidl). The main regional centres include Cheltenham, Oxford, Swindon, Bath and Bristol, all of which are within daily commuting distance. Road communications via the A419 provide good access to Junction 15 (M4) at Swindon as well as Junction 11A (M5) at Gloucester. Swindon station has frequent direct rail services to London Paddington (55 minutes) as does Kemble station (75 minutes). There is a good choice of private and state schools within the area including Meysey Hampton Primary School and Farmor’s Secondary School in Fairford. An excellent range of sporting opportunities in the area include a number of golf courses, water sports at the Cotswold Water Park and racing at Newbury and Cheltenham.
Directions
From Cirencester take the A417 towards Fairford and Lechlade. Go through Poulton and after about a mile, turn right for Meysey Hampton. Carry on through the village and turn left for Marston Meysey. Upon entering the village of Marston Meysey and immediately opposite the turning to St James’s Church (on the right), turn left down the track, signed as a bridle path. Follow the track to the end, bearing right and Little Foxes can be found on the right hand side, the third house along. What3words:///palm.honey.tutorial
